RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Library Users
1.1 Users MUST be a valid member of The Japanese Language society of Malaysia (JLSM) or current Japanese language teacher in JLSM.
1.2 Users will have to pay annual Library fee of RM12.00 and a refundable deposit of RM40.00. This deposit will be forfeited if the users contravene any of the Rules and Regulations imposed by Learner's Resource Library.
2. Borrowing Materials
2.1 Users are entitled to borrow either:
(a) a book, a magazine and a CD
(b) two books and a CD
Please present your membership card when borrowing or returning them.
2.2 The period of borrowing is 2 weeks, after which members may request for an extension of another weeks.
3. Restricted Circulation
3.1 Materials with red / green / yellow labels are for reference purposes only within the library and not allowed to bring out of the library.
3.2 Materials are only available to borrowers who have satisfied certain conditions imposed.
3.2.1 The Past Years Question Paper of Old JLPT
- Only those who have registered for the JLPT test are allowed to borrow them. However, these materials are available for users' reference at Library.
3.2.2 The New JLPT Reference Books (donated by Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur)
- These materials are only available for users' reference at Library. Borrowing is not allowed.
While using the Library, users are requested to observe the followings strictly.
4.1 Users are NOT permitted to bring in their bags (other than handbags) into library area.
4.2 Eating, drinking and smoking is prohibited.
4.3 Members are not allowed to use their mobile phones and camera.
5.1 A penalty of 50 sen a day will be charged for late return of borrowed materials.
5.2 For lost materials, users will be charged the full value* of the material plus a 50% surcharge.
5.3 For damaged materials (including any defaces), a penalty of minimum of RM2.00 to a maximum of the full value* of the material.
(*for certain materials, its full value may exceed its actual cost)
6. Refund of Deposit
For refund, the user has to surrender Learner's Resource Library facility, together with the deposit's original receipt to the library's administrator. After deducting any monies owed (if any), the deposit will be returned to the user in 10 days time by cheque. Cash refund is NOT allowed.
